One phrase, several transactions
Speak the way you normally would: amounts in words, “yesterday”, “on Friday”, the name of the shop. The model splits the phrase into transactions and picks a category; amounts and dates are extracted by the same parser that handles typed input — so an amount you never said cannot appear.

What leaves your device — said up front
Not in small print, but here. Card numbers, account numbers, IINs, phone numbers and e-mail addresses are stripped before sending, and the server checks again: a request that still contains them is refused, not quietly cleaned.
Signed in, your records are copied to your own protected space so they reach your other devices. The server is a second copy, not the source of truth: the app works with sync switched off.

Do I need to connect my bank?
No, and the app will never ask. Transactions come from your phrases, typed lines and statements you upload yourself.

Can I use it from Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, find Budget Tracker by Smart Money in the directory and sign in. In ChatGPT, find Budget Tracker by Smart Money in the Apps directory and press Connect. The assistant will record transactions, answer questions about your money and import bank notifications, using the same account and subscription. It never moves money, and asks before editing or deleting.
Can I just upload my bank statement?
Yes. Download the statement from your online bank as PDF, CSV or OFX/QFX and upload it in the app. Every transaction is added with a category, you check the list before saving, and anything already imported is skipped — so a statement can be uploaded again without doubling up.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank that gives you a statement as CSV, OFX/QFX or a PDF with text. Bank push notifications can be pasted as text.
Does voice work in every browser?
Speech recognition is done by the browser — it works in Chrome, Edge and Safari. Where it is unavailable, typing a line works just the same.
Do I need an account?
Yes — you sign in with Google and need an active free trial or subscription.
Who can see my records?
Only you. In the database every row is locked to its owner by access rules, and nothing you record is used for advertising or sold.
