What this is
Budget Tracker by Smart Money is a personal finance tracker at smart-money.ink, available as a paid subscription on the terms below. The service is provided as is, without warranty.
Subscription and payment
- Price. $7.99 per month. Depending on where you live, sales tax or VAT may be added; the exact total is shown at checkout before you confirm.
- Free trial. The first 7 days are free. A card or other payment method is required to start the trial, and nothing is charged during it.
- Renewal. When the trial ends, the subscription is charged automatically and then renews every month until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time in the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage billing. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged at all. Cancel later and the subscription stops at the end of the month you have already paid for; access continues until then.
- Refunds. If you change your mind after a charge, write to support@smart-money.ink within 3 days of it and we will refund that charge in full. After 3 days the current month is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Who sells it. Payments are handled by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record: it processes the payment, charges applicable taxes and issues receipts, and its buyer terms apply to the purchase. Your card details go to Polar, not to us.
- Price changes. If the price changes, we will tell you in advance, and the new price applies only from a renewal after that notice.
- When a subscription ends. Without an active trial or subscription the app is locked, but your records are not deleted: they stay on the server and are available again as soon as you renew. If you do not plan to renew, write to us and we will send you an export.
It is not financial advice
The app shows you your own numbers and arithmetic on them. It does not advise you on investments, taxes or credit, and its calculations — including deposit interest — are an estimate, not a statement from your bank. When the numbers matter, check them against your bank.
Your responsibility
- Keep your own backups of anything important. Export is one click in Settings.
- Do not use the app to break the law or to store other people's data without their knowledge.
- Do not attempt to reach other users' data or to overload the service.
Availability
We work to keep the service available, but cannot promise it will never be slow or interrupted. Your data is stored on the server, so during an outage it may be temporarily unavailable, but it is not lost. If we ever shut the service down, we will say so in advance so you can export your data.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, export your data, delete your account, clear the site data. We can close an account that abuses the service, having warned you where possible.
